T-Shirt Quilts

What is a T-Shirt Quilt?

  • Each one is different and unique, and you have the option to design your quilt with me to decide the layout of the shirts.
  • I will cut your t-shirts to fit the design/logo, which usually means there will be various sized blocks to piece together.
  • Any amount of t-shirts can be used in a quilt, just keep in mind that depending on the number of shirts, your quit might be in between standard sizes.
  • The border, backing, and binding will all be the color(s) of your choice.
  • I will contact you for approval of the design once I've laid out your shirts. This is where you can decide if you want to add more shirts or take a few out. Once the design is finalized, I will let you know the estimated size and cost of your quilt.
  • The price is determined by the size of the finished quilt, which includes the batting, backing and binding fabric, thread, and Edge to Edge quilting. (Additional cost might apply if Edge to Edge is used with a separate border design.)
    • Add the width plus the length of your quilt and multiply the sum by $3.10. (A quilt that is 40x60 = $310 [40+60=100 x $3.10= $310])

Example Sizes & Prices:

  • Prices will vary due to t-shirt quilts not always meeting exact size criteria.
  • These numbers do not include the approximate number of shirts, as logos and design sizes vary so greatly from shirt to shirt.

Other Information:

  • A label can be made for the back of the quilt for an additional $25.00.
  • Shirts must be free of odors, stains (unless the stain is on a part of the shirt that will not be used in the quilt), and animal hairs. A $20.00 washing fee will be added if I need to wash the shirts before cutting and laying them out.
  • You are responsible for the cost of shipping if applicable.
  • $150.00 is required upfront with the balance to be paid at pickup or before I ship the quilt back to you.
